Taekwondo

The Taekwondo (in Korean: 태권도) also graph Tae Kwon Do or Taekwon-Do is a Korean martial art and fighting sport that begun two thousand years ago. Today, it is widespread all over the world. At Seoul Olympic games in 1988, it took its "baptism of fire" when it became a real Olympic sport. In the literal sense, Taekwondo means in a very large way, the "Path of the feet and hands." More explained is:
• "TAE" (태,跆Hanja) means jump, fly or tread; • "KWON" (권, Hanja拳) means hitting or destroying with the hand; and finally • "DO" (도, Hanja道) means path, way, method, or the actual art itself.
In the global sense, Taekwondo shows the technique of unarmed combat for self defense, employment involving hands and wrists’ skills and flying kicks, and to evade interception of blows with the hands, arms or feet, to win faster and destruct the opponent. Today, Taekwondo is a very popular sport in many gyms and we can find a lot of people doing and practicing Taekwondo. Basically it is a sport of kicking very exciting.
