Bullying
Many of you don’t now what bullying is, this is when one person (bully) or one group attacks other people that can not defend himself.
These attacks can be physical or psychological and can some times lead the person hurted to the suicide.
When you see a guy or one group of teenagers laughing on one kid or a young person you must do something, you have to help him because you never now what can happen, and one day could be you the person that people are laughing on.
Usually the most affected by bullying are the teenagers most popular in the school and the kids.
If a friend tells you that it was attacked by others you have to support him and offer your help. Talk with him, his parents or with his teacher.

You can save the world
The rainforests of the Amazon produce about 40% of the world’s oxygen and deforestation contributes up to 30% of worldwide CO2 emissions. Whilst we must do all we can to save the rainforest by adding our voice to the plea for control, it’s not only the rainforests that affect the air we breathe.
Factories, power stations and cars spew hundreds of tonnes pollutants into the atmosphere every day.
Here we have suggested just a few of the things you can do to help reduce this flow.
All of us must make this commitment, not just to the generations that follow but to the earth itself.
Avoid all ozone-depleting gases. Halon in fire extinguishers. CFS’s in Styrofoam, air conditioners and aerosols.

The story of Port Wine
What is Port?
Port is the word which defines the wine made from the grapes grown exclusively in the Wine District of the Douro Valley, in northern Portugal.
When it was first shipped from Oporto over 200 years ago, it was known as “Oporto Wine”.
The Douro Region is a wild mountainous district.
The cultivation is difficult, as the composition of the rocky soil, together with the steepness of the hills, requires the building up of innumerable terraces.
You can transplant the vines, the methods of cultivation and manufacture can be imitated, but the soil cannot, neither the innumerable peculiarities of the climate.
In short, Porto owes its inimitable qualities to a combination of circumstances which cannot be duplicated in any other part of the world.

Rain Forests
But the forests are going. At the present rate of destruction most countries will lose their rain forests within our life-time. And with the forests will go hundreds of thousands of unique and irreplaceable life forms that can survive nowhere else.
Many will become extinct even before they have been described by science. Their importance to nature’s balance and their possible contribution to human welfare will never be known. But at last some countries are beginning to realize that the rain forests justify their existence by being there.
And tiny Costa Rica, by its example, has become a world leader in conservation. One quarter of its land is given some measure of protection and a full eight per cent is permanently protected in National parks.
If other nations will follow Costa Rica is example there is hope.

DIVER FEEDS KILLER SHARKS – BY HAND
Swimming eye-to-eye with the beasts — one of the most man-hungry species — 38-year-old Eli tempts the 650kg tiger sharks ever closer with the bloody fish.
Drawing them just inches away, he fearlessly places his hand into the creatures’ jaws with only a black glove between his bare skin and their bone-crushing teeth.
The scene pictured up played out 20ft below the surface of the Atlantic at Tiger Beach in the Bahamas, is the latest craze gripping thrill seekers.
Diving with sharks seems crazy enough without cages, but hand feeding these sharks is seen to be the "ultimate interaction" with one of the world’s most dangerous predators.
Eli, from Alamo, Texas, said: “Diving with sharks is what I do. Some may think it’s a crazy idea, but I know what I’m doing. I spent years researching and studying sharks, how they behave and how to behave with them.”
“It’s taken me eight years of diving with sharks and the last two years feeding them to be comfortable feeding them by hand without protective gear. To be with them in the ocean, swimming around, is just mind blowing.”
“To say it’s risk free, though, would be a lie. There have been times when my heart has been in my mouth."

In 1958, as part of the dedication ceremony for a new elementary school, a group of students is asked to draw pictures to be stored in a time capsule. But one mysterious girl fills her sheet of paper with rows of apparently random numbers instead. Fifty years later, a new generation of students examines the capsule's contents and the girl's cryptic message ends up in the hands of young Caleb Koestler. But it is Caleb's father, professor John Koestler, who makes the startling discovery that the encoded message predicts with pinpoint accuracy the dates, death tolls and coordinates of every major disaster of the past 50 years. As John further unravels the document's chilling secrets, he realizes the document foretells three additional events-the last of which hints at destruction on a global scale and seems to somehow involve John and his son. When John's attempts to alert the authorities fall on deaf ears, he takes it upon himself to try to prevent more destruction from taking place. With the reluctant help of Diana Wayland and Abby Wayland, the daughter and granddaughter of the now-deceased author of the prophecies, John's increasingly desperate efforts take him on a heart-pounding race against time until he finds himself facing the ultimate disaster-and the ultimate sacrifice

Still on Mother's Day
What 'MOTHER' means
M... is for the million things she gave me,
O... means only that she's growing old,
T... is for the tears she shed to save me,
H... is for her heart of purest gold;
E... is for her eyes, with love-light shining,
R... means right, and right she'll always be.
Put them all together, they spell "MOTHER,"
A word that means the world to me

Quite a late post for Mother's Day but still a very nice poem.
Sorry Mom, for what I’ve done
And for things I’m going to do.
For the crumbs all over the counter,
And the papers in my pocket too!
Sorry Mom, that my room is a mess
And my shoes are all over the floor.
And for all the dirt in the bathtub,
And for always slamming the door!
And I’m sorry that I complain sometimes,
I guess I’ve done that some.
But there’s one thing I’ll never be sorry for
I’m not sorry that you are my Mom!

Achievements of the technological world
Webcam – North Pole
Since 2002, between the months of April and May, the NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration), established by the U.S. government has in place the draft webcams spread on the surface of the North Pole. The main objective is to collect images of the environment, to analyze weather conditions and levels of ice.
Hubble Space Telescope
Launched into space in 1990, the Hubble has become the most amazing invention in the history of astronomy. Placed in the atmosphere, about 625 km above the Earth, this telescope is equipped with highly powerful lenses, to enable the clear observation of the universe and the astronomical phenomena that occur in billions of light years away.
iPhone
Developed and marketed by apple inc. is a portable multimedia phone, with very advanced features, and is therefore considered a smartphone. Has a VGA screen (320x480 px), sensitive to the touch and has features such as text messages, visual voicemail and internet access (email, browser, Wi-Fi spot). In addition, can also be used as camera and iPod.
OQO Model 02
Presented by Bill Gates in January 2007, the OQO Model 02 is the smallest and well-equipped laptop. Weighs around 500g and comes to lie in a pocket. its main characteristics are: five-inch LCD screen and a maximum resolution of 1200x720 pixels, illuminated keyboard, 1.5 GHz processor, hard disk, 30 or 60 GB and 512 MB or 1GB of RAM. Runs on Windows Vista and have internet Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Attractive, but expensive!
Voyager
In the 1970s, NASA launched into space two space probes - the voyager1 and voyager2. The objective of this program was to explore and photograph the planets Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune. Voyager1 remains in space for over 30 years. It has already travelled more than 15 billion kilometers, and sends the signals to Earth, which takes 14 hours to be received.
Laser
Though already in 1916 Albert Einstein has launched the foundation for building the laser, this came only in 1960 through the intervention of the American physicist Theodore H. Maiman. and success was such that the Laser has been applied to many different areas such as medicine, industry, science, technology, appliances, etc.., which in most, has contributed to improving the quality of human life.
Internet
No doubt that this is the best and most wonderful world of technology. The Internet is not only storage of knowledge and information of incalculable dimensions, but also allows us to perform an endless activities, without having to leave home. Only to have an idea of its impact in the world, the Internet is used by about 17% of the world's population, equivalent to about one billion people. Amazing!
